For the process, I imagined a little story and tried my best to compose a track to tell it.

A character walks into a wasteland.

They pause to get their bearings. The atmosphere of the place sinks in. They are standing on open ground in a foggy and cloudy night, with scrap metal lying around, destroyed and abandoned buildings in the distance. A cold and humid wind is blowing, they can hear unsettling and metallic noises around them, fear sets in.

The clouds and fog start clearing, revealing a moonlit and starry sky. They admire it and reflect for a moment, then walk alone into the mysterious with new found resolve to face whatever may come next.
